Moving Forward
In the past week, I have created the foundation that I will be needing for the leadership philanthropy board. In our leadership class, I wrote a paper about who I am, what I believe in, and how I am a leader. This has helped because in order to be a leader, I need to build a deep relationship with myself. Also, today I attended the Civic Engagement Fair. I have discussed with numerous non profit organizations about their purpose, how they are meeting their mission, how they are funded, and what they need to meet the needs of the community. I have considered some that I am interested in and also dismissed others. I have determined my area of interests already with realizing that I feel more passion towards helping humans than the environment. I know that I want to help with the health, happiness, and overall well being of the people in my community.

I really like how you relate so much to your writing. You put yourself into your writing so much and I think it adds to it in a major way. I did not put myself into my writing as much but I think I might start to after reading yours. My favorite part is "I wrote a paper about who I am, what I believe in, and how I am a leader...I need to build a deep relationship with myself." I learned that she would rather help people in need than focusing on the environment so much.I think you did a great job and covered everything that needed to be covered. =]
ReplyDeleteThanks girl :)
ReplyDeleteI guess that response was not legit enough for points, so I'll re-do it. I really try to relate myself to my writing. Im a super emotional person and like meaning to what I do, so thanks for the compliment! Over the semester I have found a new respect for all those environment-lovers though! they have really made some positive changes around the community. However, I am still enthralled with helping people!
